Hotel Shuttle & Parking
FROM OAKLAND AIRPORT: The Oakland Airport Hilton offers free 24 hour shuttle service form the Oakland Airport on the half hour. Call the Hilton Hotel at 510-635-5000 when you arrive.
FROM AMTRAK and BART STATIONS: The Oakland Airport Hilton offers free shuttle service from the Oakland Coliseum AMTRAK/BART stations on the hour until Midnight, when BART stops running. Call the Hilton Hotel at 510-635-5000 when you arrive.
PARKING: Parking for day guests is $5 a day for the event only. Hotel guests parking overnight pay a different amount. Check with the hotel for rates.
Planes, Trains & Automobiles
Oakland International Airport is the best option due to proximity to the conference location as well as the fact that Southwest Airlines does not fly into San Franciso. Travellers flying into San Francisco International will have to make their way across the bay. Another option is San Jose Airport although that's not recommended as it's farther and the land route to Oakland is more congested.
For those of you who are green-minded, BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) provides excellent service in Oakland's metro area and to the greater Bay Area. Inter-city links are provided by Amtrak. AC Transit is the city bus service. Bonus: Google Maps now has a public transit option for directions!
